Senior Litigation Secretary - (San Francisco, CA)

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Litigation Secetary to support a fast-paced litigation department. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-intensity environment and brings strong organizational skills, impeccable attention to detail, and deep experience with state and federal filings.

Top Requirements

  • Extensive State and Federal e-filing experience (trial and appellate)
  • Exceptional organizational skills, especially with complex filings and deadlines
  • Large law firm experience supporting busy litigation practices
  • Comfortable operating in a high-volume, partner-driven litigation environment

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare documents for state and federal court filings, including pleadings, motions, discovery, letters, and related materials
  • Perform e-filings across various state and federal courts
  • Create and maintain electronic files; draft and process correspondence, memoranda, and complex legal documents
  • Manage new client intake and file maintenance using the firm's electronic records system
  • Assist with billing, travel arrangements, and expense reimbursements
  • Interact professionally with clients, attorneys, staff, and peers

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of general litigation experience
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience supporting attorneys in complex litigation
  • Familiarity with document management systems
  • Experience with time and billing systems; Elite experience a plus
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
